I have been asked a few times recently about getting rid of old damp stains.
Due to this i thought i would share a good way of doing this.
If you do have any old damp staining then you should ensure that the issue that caused the damp has been fixed before proceeding with this next step.
Firstly I would give the area affected a light rub down with a fine grade glass/sand paper, wipe surface with a dry cloth or dust off with a soft brush.
Next with a rad roller, roll a coat of oil based undercoat over the stained area, leave to dry overnight. Depending on how dark the staining was to start you may need to apply a second coat, once this coat is dry apply you required top coat.
For best results coat the whole surface e.g wall, ceiling etc with 2 top coats this will blend the old affected area in with the whole surface area better.
Hope this helps.

Its been a while since my last post but I would just like to thank all my customers from 2014 for their business and sorry to all the people that I could not take on.
Last year was a very busy year and this year is looking to be much the same, so i would just like to advise you to book early to avoid disapointment.
We are working on a water damaged victorian house that had been left for nearly 2 years. I am taking before and after pictures of this property so keep checking the pictures section for more views on our quality of work.

Hello all, we have been busy so far this year, despite the weather we have had both interior and exterior works going on. I have added some new pictures to my gallery of some of these works, exterior photos.
Please note that due to the volume of work booked, we can only take on new works from September 2013.
Regards to all,

Hello, hope you have had a great start to your new year. As for me its busy, busy, busy a great start. I am already taking bookings for the spring and summer for exterior works, if you are considering having any exterior work done this year now may be the time to get it booked in. If others are taking bookings now as well it could be a good move. Just a thought, Andy

Just updated my website with a piece on wallpaper. Now I know there are a lot of people out there that feel wallpaper is still abit 70s but it has been making a return.
Wallpapered feature walls are becoming more and more popular, they give that splash of colour to a room that in a block painted colour on a wall may darken the room to much or look out of place.
Light pastel coulours are great to lighten and freshen up a room but on every wall can also make it a bit cold and impersonal.
Trying to co-ordinate colours in your furniture and accesories with what you put on your walls can be hard.
So next time you are looking at colours, why not consider matching everything up with a featured papered wall, just an idea, let me know how it goes.

Just finished a 58 square meter "area" oak wood floor.
Do you or have you ever thought about having a wooden floor?
No more stains in the carpet, hard to remove pet hair, and having to work your room colour around your carpet colour.
There are some good deals around at the moment and the cost of laying the floor can be less than you think. Over time it can save you money on new carpets and cleaning.
If you are thinking of a complete change to a room or rooms I can do the the lot. Painting and flooring done all at the same time less hassle, less stress, for less than you may think.
